I was in the final at US Champs at Lowers, and normally when I’m in a heat I can’t really hear anyone on the beach, but when I heard my friends yelling every time I caught a wave and counting down the final seconds of the heat, it made me feel excited. The pier. It’s down the street from my house and it’s where I learned to surf. It's still my favorite spot.

Any hobbies outside of your sport?
Great question, that reminds me of the quote from Surf’s Up…"Like what? Like singin' and dancin'? Naw, man, I just surf." My hobbies are skateboarding, playing guitar, juggling knives, soccer, reading and spray painting clothes.
